Resumen
The quest for increased productivity and quality levels is one of the main goals of any company that wants to be competitive in the current times. Many companies adopt different types of Programs and methodologies, which present specific tools and different focuses between them. The Six Sigma program is one of those client-focused methodologies. Based on this premise, the search for results in which they first serve the final customer, presents immediate results of satisfaction that were not achieved until then. The degree of assertiveness in solving a problem brings positive results also in waste reduction and response time. The objective of this work is to show the ways to implement a Six Sigma Program in a company, along with a case study that was the resolution of a quality problem. The results show that the Six Sigma Program, if robustly structured and with a solid foundation to form a "critical mass", can generate fast results and future prospects for the business. The mere fact of declaring the use of the methodology in the company generates a return of confidence of the final client as to the degree of professionalism of the resolution of eventual problems. Another important point of the program described is the structure developed to disseminate the methodology among the employees through the internal norms and procedures described. In addition to the financial results achieved by the business unit, the case study exemplifies other gains obtained in the execution of Six Sigma projects as discoveries for the development of new products.
