Resumen
This paper aimed to carry out a diagnosis of insecticide demand for whiteflies (Bemisia spp.) and for cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) in beans crops in the State of Parana, during 2014 and 2015. This diagnosis was developed from a survey of agronomic prescription from Monitoring System of Trade and Use of Agrochemicals in the State of Parana (SIAGRO). The data provided were regarding active ingredient used for pest control, percentage of utilisation by municipality and annual distribution of agronomic prescription for the control of both pests in beans crops in the years already mentioned. With the information about active ingredients and annual distribution of agronomic prescription, graphics were made. The percentage of utilisation by municipality data were interpolated using the IDW (Inverse Distance Weighted) technique in the free and open source software Qgis 2.12, which enabled the elaboration of maps. Through data, were possible identify that there is a demand for control of Bemisia spp. and Helicoverpa armigera throughout year, with an increase in the need of control during planting season of bean crops, especially at the time of 2nd harvest, when there is a larger bean crop area in Parana. The active ingredient identified as the most used for control of Bemisia spp., was imidacliprid (neonicotinoids), found in the almost half of the agronomic prescription. For Helicoverpa armigera, the only active ingredient used was bifenthrin (neonicotinoids), because it is the only insecticide permitted for the control of this pest in the State of Parana. The demand for control of Bemisia spp. occurs in almost all regions of the State, in the macro-regions of Southeast and Central-Eastern are the largest number of cities with the highest percentage of use of insecticide. The need for control of Helicoverpa armigera was more concentrated in the Southeast and Central-Eastern macro regions.
