Resumen
According to an automobilist student competition scenario, it is necessary a depth approach in order to increase performance of a Formula SAE electric car from the UTForce e-Racing team. The focus of this study is the aerodynamic development of the car, including 3 important parts: restriction of the drag force on the car, determination of the downforce acting on the vehicle and cooling of electrical components. On this scenario, this work presents the development of 4 design projects: a nose cone, an undertray and a cooling system of a frequency inverter and an electric motor. This study contains the equations for each physic parameter of project, the computational modeling design and the fluid dynamics simulations. Therefore, the simulations results indicate the expected parameters and conduct the project reliably to the next phases.
