Diagnóstico e recuperação de matas ciliares em nascentes da cidade de Goioerê - PR: uma experiência em educação ambiental

Abstract

The degradation of riparian forests in the municipality of Goioerê-Pr is an ancient process, which had its beginning from deforestation to transformation of areas in the field of cultivation or pasture. Thus, this work aimed to, along with elementary students, evaluate the presence/absence of riparian vegetation in springs in the municipality, as well as investigate farmers that have springs in their properties are suitable for the forest code and carry out conservation practices and environmental awareness. The methodology used was through a questionnaire applied to landowners through visits, and students. The results of the evaluation have allowed the conclusion that farmers are adapting to the current legislation as regards to the preservation of riparian forests, and that students are aware of the need to protect such areas, as well as the importance of passing on information about the preservation of the environment. The construction of the consciousness of responsibility for the environment is done through projects aimed at environmental education, taking into account technical, social and economic parameters.
