dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of the present research is to point out the advantages and benefits obtained to companies, customers, environment and workers through the industrialization of building processes, delivering better labor conditions by decreasing risky situations and preventing workers from accidents on external building sites, considering that industrial processes involve more severe safety control. This scenario is capable of increase a worker’s productivity, deliver a better control of raw materials usage, reduce scrap materials, and mainly increase que quality of control of a building of its total. This study was developed from visits to distinct locations where processes and events occur. At the first scenario is that of a traditional construction site, which uses as a construction system the historic conventional masonry. The second scenario is an industrial environment where the buildings are industrialized from the Light Steel Framing construction system, which has been used for many years in developed centers such as United States, Canada, Japan and practically the whole of Europe. The situations encountered were listed, described and analyzed. The result was satisfactory, considering that advantages were found for companies, customers, environment and works, and the general and specific objectives were met. | |
