Resumen
Nowadays environmental concern, in general, demands alternative waste treatment. In this point of view, the heterogeneous photocatalysis is shown as a process that has aroused great interest, due to total mineralization or oxi-reduction of pollutants. The most used photocatalysts are semiconductor materials, oxides like: TiO2 and ZnO. Due to the high industrial demand and the improper treatment, many pollutants still present in the waters, such as metals, like plumb, and dyes, widely used in the textile industry. Although, one of the difficulties of the photocatalytic process is the separation of the suspended catalyst for reuse. In this context, the study of the immobilized catalyst ZnO, allied to the fluidization is proposed as a removal method for the Methylene blue dye in aqueous solution.
