Resumen
This project comes with the goal of creating a website and a brochure aimed for animal care institutions, exploring the design thinking methodology, making a usercentered design project and using graphic design tools for its conception. The research and development separate themselves into two big phases: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical phase, it seeks to check the literature of several authors for the concepts utilized on the project, such as design thinking, design management, social medias, nonprofit institutions and animal care institutions. In the practical phase, it is possible to dismember it in briefing, exploratory research, content making and guide development. The briefing had a function to orientate the development of the product; the exploratory research was given by online forms, interviews with animal care institutions and interviews with professionals of the areas of design, accounting and veterinary medicine. The content making emerged after the exploratory research, and it was defined into five key topics: starting point, motivate yourself, how to manage, have a brand and connect yourself. After literature revision and researches about the subject, it was possible to generate options for the layout, select them and prototype them. With the prototypes, usability tests were conducted and animal care institutions were consulted, where it was possible to develop a complete website centered on the users’ needs: since its conception, going through visual identity, content making, editing and disclosure. With the end of the website development, the brochure was created based on the website layout, where it was set to be distributed online for download. Besides that, a crowdfunding campaign was conducted to raise money for a web programmer service, whose function was to put the project online.
