dc.description.abstractIn view of the current development of the construction industry, the implementation and inclusion of more efficient construction methods to increase productivity, quality and speed of execution is becoming more and more necessary. One of the possible solutions to this evolution is the use of Light Steel Framing as an alternative constructive method, which can bring environmental and even financial benefits. Although Brazil is a major producer of steel, the construction system still predominant is that of buildings with reinforced concrete structures with vertical fences in masonry of ceramic blocks. Therefore, the present work has the purpose of evaluating and comparing results on the acoustic insulation between the constructive methods of vertical fences in masonry of ceramic blocks and light steel framing, thus evaluating if the alternative method under study presents characteristics equal to or greater than the method constructive current.
