Análise do software ZABBIX como ferramenta de apoio ao processo gerenciamento de eventos da ITIL 2011

Abstract

The proposal of ITIL with the process Event Management is to prevent or reduce the occurrence of incidents that can affect directly the Information Technology infrastructure. Nowadays the IT professionals have an important role to transform this area considered a high cost in a area that adds value to the business. Utilizing the best practices recommended by ITIL, this mission can be achieved more easily with the standards of their processes. But, the event management é unpractical without the use of support tools that accord the main recommendations of ITIL. Recognized worldwide and a large community of users and contributors, the Zabbix software is used as a monitoring solution for all sizes of businesses and areas. Thus, this work aims to analyse the Zabbix software like the main tool to support the process event management. The methodology used was exploratory research strategy as having the exploratory-descriptive study combined, allowing fully describe the phenomenon studied. We conclude that using Zabbix software is beneficial to provide the standardization process in event management according to ITIL recommendations.
