Resumen
The planning and control of works is linked to practically all existing steps during the construction process of a project. Because it is so significant, it is extremely valuable for the information to reach everyone involved in a clear and objective manner. Conventional construction planning techniques do not allow a joint visualization of temporal and spatial elements of a schedule, allowing users to misinterpret. Technological development is born with a facilitating element of this process, the BIM (Building Information Modeling), emerges as a methodology capable of optimizing the communication among the entire production chain of civil construction. BIM is present throughout the life cycle of a building, in the construction planning stage it is called BIM 4D, which represents the junction of the three-dimensional model with the time dimension, from 4D models. This work has as its main objective, to follow the use of 4D modeling as a tool to aid in the transmission of information, regarding the planning of a project under construction by a construction company in Curitiba-PR. The 4D model allowed a clearer and more objective view of the work schedule, minimizing errors of understanding and interpretation of the planning, making the communication between the planners and the construction site clear and assertive. To measure the users' perception of the tool, a questionnaire was applied, which shows the feasibility of using BIM technology as an aid in communicating planning at the construction site.
