Abstract

Accidents at work are historical facts cited even in old documents. During the industrial revolution, the number of accidents related to work activities has increased considerably, causing these accidents to become a worldwide concern. Due to the high rate of accidents and diseases related to work, the need to create some normative models for health and safety management at the beginning of the last century began to emerge in the world. The importance of taking care of workers' safety and health goes far beyond the legislative obligation. It is also of the importance of the employer to have an individual, social and business ethics, based on a code of conduct. The objective of this monograph is to analyze the norms of work safety in a company of the automobile and industrial sector, through a case study. The same is done through a checklist of regulatory standards, which is applied in an automotive and industrial company in its waste management sector. Where, recommendations are presented for the company to conform to standards that partially met the requirements of the study. The standards cited are NR 6 with the creation of a regular procedure to supervise the use of PPE, NR 20 with the creation of regular evidence of training and NR 23 with the change of position of the waste compactor to clear the exit And change the position of the irregular extinguisher so that it does not exceed the 1.60 m mark above the floor. And finally, it is recommended as future work, to carry out a new audit in the company to verify if they will be in compliance.
