Aplicação dos índices de capabilidade no estudo de coeficiente de atrito de embalagens flexíveis

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a considerable increase in the production and sale of flexible packaging due to its low cost, practicality and durability. Therefore, it is necessary that all processes are working correctly to guarantee a highquality service. The implementation of a quality management system is a way to make the production process more rigorous and allows the optimization of the production process, one of the main techniques applied in the quality control system is the capability analysis. Aiming at continuous improvement, this work applied the capability analysis on the coefficient of friction (COF) values, specifically for the Customer (I), due to the recurrences in the number of complaints and evaluated the variables that could influence the characteristic of COF. It was concluded that the excess tension applied to the coil winder in the extrusion stage was directly influencing the migration of slip additives, and, consequently, the COF values. According to the data obtained in the analyses, and checking the dates of the batches claimed by the Client (I), the reduction in tension resulted in satisfactory results for the COF characteristic in the packages.
