Resumen
A significant part of current technology was only possible due to the development of quantum mechanics. Based on the structural quantification of the behavior of matter, that coming up with an idea of Planck’s quantum, a described quantum mechanics, or the behavior of matter on an atomic scale. On this scale, nature behaves differently than would be expected by common sense. There are quantum phenomena that only happen on this scale. These events are the theoretical basis for many experiments and applications that previously had no satisfactory explanation. In this work we study one of these quantum phenomena, which is quantum tunneling. Our study consists of analyzing its development over the years, from its inception to some current studies. We focus on some of its applications and occurrences in chemistry. Moreover, we solve and study the most straightforward analytical case for interaction potential V.
