dc.description.abstractThis work presents the dimensioning of the rotor blade geometry of a Francis type hydraulic turbine. For this purpose, the methodology of the author Zulcy de Souza was used, since it is a reference in the area of flow machines and its detailed methodology enables the study. It is worth noting that the method is iterative, that is, calculations and drawings need to be performed simultaneously. Using input data such as: drop height, flow, maximum suction height and installation altitude, it is possible to start the calculations, which in turn, lead to the development of the blade projections (vertical and horizontal), variable blade thickness, and finally the three-dimensional drawing.
