Resumen
This work presents the design process of the development of a remote-controlled electric tug for small aircrafts. The paper starts with a contextualization of the current scenario in the Brazilian aviation market, relative to the current needs of the private aviation. The methodology addressed in this work was based on PDP methods, aligned with mechanical design methodologies, as CAD design and FEA simulations. Further presentations addresses the procedures of the PDP stages, as the information and requirements gathering, conceptual design, detailed project, preparation for production, manufacturing process, assembly and prototype try-outs. The test results were satisfactory, with major design requirements been achieved. For the non-achieved design requirements, a set of proposals were made. The prototype appeared to be promising as a technological innovation of a utilitarian product for the aviation market.
