Resumen
The proposal aimed to investigate the use of content contained in the LDB and taught in high school, in the discipline of physics in the field of electricity, in professional life. For the same LDB instructs us that secondary education should be a preparation for life and especially for the labor market. The research was of an applied nature, with qualitative and quantitative approach, using exploratory research methodology. The tools used to collect data were literature review and survey information from use of these contents by professionals electricity. According to the survey, the professionals say do not have electricity and do not need on a day to day work of all the basic information spoken to high school, in the area of electricity. Some subjects are widely used, for example, electrical current and Ohm's laws. Others, however, are not used. For example, Gauss's law for electrostatics, which was marked by only 9 respondents between 71 people.
