Resumen
This study analyzes the importance of formal Environmental Education in relation to Science Teaching. In this sense, Environmental Education has a fundamental role in the dimensioning of the teaching-learning process regarding Science Teaching. The work has as general objective to analyze the formal Environmental Education in the context of the Science discipline in the 1st year of Elementary School I, based on the official documents that guide the Municipal School Prefeito Francisco Ferreira Claudino in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná – Brazil. According to these notes, the following research problem was delimited: In what way is Environmental Education included in official documents, considering the Science Curriculum Component in the 1 st year of Elementary School I, at Francisco Ferreira Claudino School in São José teaching? The research follows a qualitative design of document analysis, based on the following documents: Curricular Reference of São José dos Pinhais; Political Pedagogical Project (PPP); Science Curriculum Component (Teaching Plan). This study encompassed the 1st year of Elementary School I, with a detailed analysis of these documents. The approaches to the main results observed in this research resulted from the interpretation of the data collected, as this study was established through the analysis of official documents. In the search for validation and complementation of the justification for this research, appraisals and analyzes regarding formal Environmental Education in the school environment were carried out through official documents, such as Educational Curriculum Framework, PoliticalPedagogical Project and the Science Curriculum Component. Thus, they pointed to a rich investigation with ample research possibilities, also through bibliographic research. Regarding the survey of data through official documents and theoretical framework, it was possible to identify guiding elements for the preparation of the educational product with an emphasis on EE to be used by teachers on the Curriculum Component of Science Teaching in the context of Environmental Education.
