Redução de incidentes e acidentes na área da rebobinadeira, através das ferramentas de gestão de segurança e saúde do trabalho em uma multinacional no norte do Paraná

Abstract

The management of occupational health and safety has continuously contributed to organizations, ensuring that work activities are carried out in a safe and productive way, as their employees can work with greater boldness and efficiency, but without carelessness. After all, incidents and accidents are unacceptable consequences of a series of unsafe acts and conditions, negligence and disregard for possible consequences, which could have been avoided. The identification of the growing number of incidents in the Rewinder area of a multinational organization in the North of Paraná, generated great commotion in the management, which proposed the realization of a project with the objective of applying safety and health management tools at work, in a to increase employees' perception of risk and thus reduce the number of incidents and accidents. Through a survey of risks in the environment and activities and the application of a questionnaire to analyze the employees' perception of risk, the main points for the application of the tools were identified. After carrying out the actions and improvements, it can be seen that not only the reduction of incidents and accidents was achieved in the Rewinder area, but also in the general area of the paper machine, and it was also noticed the growth of prevention practices, a consequence of the increased risk perception by employees and management and leadership.
