Resumen
The culture of passiflora edulis sims. (sour passion fruit), it has occupied a prominent position in the brazilian fruit sector by developing the juice processing industry with approximately 62,000 hectares in 2010, but the production of this species goes through problems related to uniformity of seed germination due to numbness existing therein. This study aimed to evaluate the hydropriming in water with subsequent drying period on the germination of seeds, so much was used the design of randomized blocks with 8 treatments with 4 replications of 100 seeds were immersed in distilled water and placed in bod drying and removed with drying time of 0, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 and 144 hours for the analysis of emergency variables (%), emergency velocity index (evi), average time of emergency and emergency accumulative. Were obtained so meaningful data for emergency variables of which 144 hours drying period was more
effective in 19% and ive had a quadratic response, which may represent that with a longer drying time may would find greater germination, for tme data were not significant, not occurring effect of drying periods. That said hydropriming with subsequent drying of the seeds had an effect on the germination of the same, but this is still considered low.
