In combat sports, analysis time motion or time-movement analysis (ATM) allows for knowledge of the technical-tactical conditions, as well as the determination of the frequency of strokes. The knowledge of specific characteristics of the sport brings precise information on how high level athletes succeed. However, there is no information available on temporal analysis in competitive Capoeira matches. The objectives were: to verify the agreement and reproducibility of the adaptation of the computer program FRAMI® for technical-tactical analysis in competitive Capoeira combats; and quantify the frequency of strokes and movements as well as the temporal structure of high-level competitive Capoeira, from the ATM. The methods used were the observation of 10 matches between three experienced evaluators to verify the agreement and reproducibility. In addition, another 256 rounds of the 2018 men’s world championship were observed, considering the three blocks of effort I) Observation, II) Preparation and III) Interaction, in addition to the frequency of the techniques used in Capoeira combat in different phases of the competition (phase round and medal dispute phase) and between the different weight categories (-65Kg, 65 -72Kg, 72- 78Kg, 78-85Kg and + 85Kg). Results: The agreement between the evaluators and the intra-evaluator analysis showed a high degree of agreement for most of the listed variables (Kappa and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient between 0.247 and 1,000). The main results related to the temporal structure: the observation time was statistically different between -65Kg and + 85Kg, in the elimination phase (19 s and 26 s, respectively), but maintained the same behavior in the medal dispute phase. Still, in the elimination phase, the -65Kg category had a longer interaction time (14 s) compared to 72-78Kg (7 s) and 78-85Kg (8 s). In the medal dispute phase, the 65- 72Kg category had a longer interaction time (12 s) than the 72-78Kg (6 s) and 78-85Kg (7s) categories, however with no difference in the elimination phase. In turn, the main results related to the frequency of strokes and movements were: 78-85Kg performed less gingas per combat compared to 72-78Kg. The -65Kg category exhibited a greater amount of unbalanced movements when compared to any category, a greater amount of traumatic movements than the 65-72Kg and + 85Kg categories. Finally, it was recorded that the 65-72Kg category carried out a greater amount of flourish than the 78-85Kg category. Conclusion: The adaptation of FRAMI® was able to contribute to the technical-tactical analysis for competitive Capoeira. There is a difference in the temporal structure of observation, interaction and frequency of strokes between different weight categories, the lighter athletes have a longer interaction time, while the heavier athletes have a longer observation time.
