dc.description.abstractThe Cathodic protection is an electrical method of preventing corrosion in metallic structures. In large installations, such as buried pipelines, a direct current type cathodic protection system is used to ensure this protection. However, there is a need to improve operational efficiency that provides visibility and quality of this type of operation in real time to improve operational safety, quality in distribution and cost reduction. This study proposes a prediction model to help automation and cathodic protection engineering teams in the analysis and maintenance of natural gas pipelines.
