Resumen
Considering the wide variety of species and Eucalyptus clones grown in Brazil, information about the properties of wood become increasingly necessary. The chemical analysis provides the amount of volatile material, ash content, fixed carbon present in the material. The objective of this study was to determine the physical and chemical properties of wood GFMO-27 clone at different times of the trunk. It was determined by the ash content, volatiles, fixed carbon and density. The chemical analysis in eucalyptus wood discs, based on the methodology described in ABNT / NBR 8112/83, with adaptations took place. The specific gravity was determined by immersion in water, according to ABNT NBR 11941. The standard amount of volatiles, fixed carbon and ashes in the measured heights GFMO-27 clone were similar. The basic density showed no significant difference in the measured heights and did not correlate significantly with the chemical analysis. The wood GFMO-27 clone from any position of the shaft will provide a product with similar characteristics.
