Resumen
The design of any suspension and steering system should start having the knowledge of the behavior data of the tires that are going to be used. These are the only components in contact with the ground. This means they are responsible exclusively in giving adherence and control to the vehicle. Tire manufacturers rarely provides such data to automobile designers, which gives great importance to the task of acquiring the characteristics of the tire, either by contracting specialized companies or by experimenting the tire with own means. Due to the high costs of third party companies it was developed a sled type device to evaluate the lateral force tire capacity with different normal loads ant drift angles. Should develop a machine with less than R$600 cost, adapting to the reality of most Baja SAE Brazil teams.
