Resumen
This work aims the study of Parkinsonian tremor, obtaining its respective model from a non-linear oscillator and the performance of the control when the patient is submitted to a treatment through deep brain stimulation. From the acceleration signal of the patient’s hand, an investigation is performed by varying different parameters of this model. It is proposed, then, a state feedback control law, in order to control the signal intensity. This same control law will be used to determine the amplitude of the brain stimulation signal used in the treatment, replacing the open loop control traducionally applied in the brain stimulation therapy. It is intended to construct an automatic clinical device to be used by people with Parkinson’s disease. The proposed control is analyzed and compared to other control strategies by means of computational simulations.
