Resumen
The present study addresses the Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0. The objective of the work was to identify how managers and leaders in the automotive sector of some companies perceive the adaptation of the Industry 4.0 models in the industry in which they operate. To achieve the proposed objective, the best adaptation of the research object to the studied context, the case study method was adopted in its variation, the multi-case study (YIN, 2001) with an analysis of 4 companies in the automobile sector. For the survey of primary data, the semi-structured interview technique was used, with the help of a script with 8 questions and applied to the 4 managers and leaders of the automobile industries. The secondary sources of data used were books, articles, videos and the website of automobile companies. For data analysis, a content analysis technique was used (Bardin, 2010). The following categories were identified from the data analysis: perception of Industry 4.0; Industry Adaptation; Future perspectives; Partnerships with the Public Sector. From the categories of analysis carried out through the identifications, the following results were selected with this research: assertive production, improvements in management due to realtime communication, processes aimed at augmented reality that avoid damage to production, cost and time reduction, constant training of employees and readjustment of some functions, generated the participation of societies in events in the segment, more effective and fast processes, time to invest in strategy, increased consumer experience, connection with government actions to leverage employment.
