This assignment shows a study of distribution systems planning. It is based in the construction of new routes using different types of materials. The decision-making process is done by the metaheuristic Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP). The algorithm is programmed by using MatLab®. Its efficiency is measured by comparing with other methods that are in the literature using the same 23 bars system. In this experiment, the value of was changed as well as the local search method, using first-improving or best-improving methods, in order to evaluate its real impacts in the quality of the results.
