dc.description.abstractMetal machining processes presents many questionable problems as machining parameters to optimized and more profitable process. That is a complex problem because it involves factors as surface quality, tool life and machine life, so there are different factors that have to be studied in order to obtain more ideal parameters for a specific process. The major issue it is the cutting temperature on the machining process. There are many studies about temperature on machining, including milling processes. It is difficult to measure the temperature so we need some common methods like radiation pyrometer, tool work thermocouple, embedded thermocouples and others methods. The project presents studies about measuring temperature on the tool work interface in the milling process. We obtained experimental data from embedded thermocouples in the work piece and after we compared those experimental data with the temperature estimated by using the technique called reverse transfer applied to heat conducted problems. This technique is obtained by bi-dimensional simulation that is based on finite volume methods.
