A estética gótica e sua influência no vestuário

Abstract

The gothic style emerged in the late 1970 with a new aesthetic proposal wrapped in a dark atmosphere. And for the past three decades, it has evolved from a simple musical movement to a subculture, using many references that dates back to the twelfth century, among them we have architecture, literature, cinema. And similar to other cultural movements of the last century, clothing was used as a form of expression, what sets them apart of the mainstream culture, by the use of the colors – or lack of them, symbols, fabrics, among other things. That said, the purpose of this study is to develop a fashion collection for the gothic public, and study the goth influence in high fashion and demonstrate its aesthetic and symbolic aspects. Therefore, were used the exploratory reasearch for a better understanding the public and their consumption needs. The results were satisfatory for meeting the needs of the public and by the positive feedback for the developed products.
