Resumen
Noise pollution is one of the greatest issues to be solved by smart cities. This paper seeks a solution on mapping sonic data, which may help delegate effort and resources, either human or material, in order to solve the noise pollution problem. This engineering project consists in an on-line software and a low cost (either mobile or static) hardware capable of acquiring sonic data, in a vast number of points in cities and provide access of a data base to applications focused on making cities smarter. A proof of concept of a system was designed and its results were sent to data clustering and visualization applications (displaying the data in the form of a heat map). All sorts of technologies used try to discuss their measurement efficiency, as to elucidate their use from beginning to end, validating the initial requisites to be a low cost, open source project, on which people and urban environment could enrich their relations.
