A imagem da arquitetura: a representação, o real e a collage

Abstract

This dissertation proposes to question the idea of reality in architectural representation in the context of an image of something to be built. In the architectural field, the accepted image market wise it a type of ‘realistic’ image, made it possible by renders commonly done from digital pre-conceived parameters. These images are often cold and dead-alive, depriving the observer of imagination. Opposing to this marketing point of view and in favor of a poetic image to an artistic expression of the object to be built, this thesis proposes the collage as an alternative to the usual architectural representation.
