This document, resulted from the Final Year Research Project of the course Bachelor in Design at the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR), aims to present the development of a design project, specifically a ceramic filter. The Project was designed on a theoretical basis taking into account the importance of filtering water and the operation of the ceramic material. Being basically composed of four main stages, firstly, the problem is presented to the reader, so that he understands the concern of filtering and knows the characteristics of the existing filters on the market, which helps him comprehend the concept and the rationale behind it. From the proposed concept, whose search is an innovative device based on tradition, there have been enumerated requirements for the project, which provided the basis for the development of alternatives. The alternative selection happened by testing with the user and it was based on the meeting of requirements. The prototype was produced with the clay turning technique and finished with and without enamel. Again tests were carried out to assess the functionality of the product and its acceptance. Finally, the project had two filter versions, with the differential at the base, which can be cut, creating an area to store glasses. In addition, ceramic cups were developed to match the filters and their visual identity, alongside disclosure materials and transport packaging for products.
