The organic solvents are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for residual solvent analysis, applied to analysis Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and thus then, that have proven their degree of purity by specific tests which determine their degree of reliability. The objective of this study is the creation of a database that can be used to characterize organic solvents, thus reducing research time and costs. The techniques used for characterization are Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, which is an important analytical tool in the characterization of solvents, Infrared, which in its spectrum shows each molecule absorption band and Mass Spectrometry is an important mass selective d/etector, essential for elucidation of molecules. The samples were supplied by a pharmaceutical company from western Parana, were later fractionated and sent to external laboratories for analyzes of mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance. The infrared analyzes were performed during the laboratory routine, following the general method in force in the company. In view of the raw data obtained from the analyzes carried out, it is concluded that the molecules presented are in agreement with the theoretical data obtained from the literature, concluding that we can reduce time with the need for new research with each standardization.
