Resumen
The use of additives in poultry production aims to increase the rate of growth and survival of poultry, improve gastrointestinal health, feed efficiency, causing the animal to save energy by reducing pathogens and defecation, which consequently decreases the environmental impact and disease transmission. Thus, the following study was to evaluate the performance of the birds from the variables, egg production, feed intake, feed conversion and weight of the eggs with diets based on 0.30 g of probiotic / 100 kg of feed. 196 quail were used, 40 days old, obtaining two treatments: control diet T1 and T2 probiotic based diet with twelve replicates of eight birds each composed repeated for 112 days as follows: first cycle 28 days 56 days depending cycle, third cycle 84 days and 112 days fourth cycle. It follows that for egg production only difference was in the last cycle to feed intake only for the laying first, feed conversion in the probiotic had no effect on any cycle and for egg weight, there results only in the beginning of stance birds.
