The increase in anthropic activities led to an increase in the demand for food. In this sense, dairy cattle growing, aiming to supply the production of foods derived from milk, causing an increase in the herd and agro-industrial residues, which, if disposed of without proper treatment, cause damage to the environment. The objective of this work was to carry out the composting of cattle manure associated with urban pruning, evaluating its viability in the production of canafístula seedlings. The composting was carried out in the experimental area of UTFPR-FB, monitoring the physical-chemical parameters. The compost was applied in the planting of Canafistula seedlings, in six different treatments, using produced organic compost, soil and commercial substrate. Seedling quality was evaluated using phytomorphological parameters and Dickson's Quality Index (IQD). For stem diameter, the best development was observed in T2 (7.36 mm), with the treatments T5 and T6 having the lowest values. For aerial part height, T3 (37.91 cm) showed better growth, being superior to the other treatments. For the IQD, T2 (5.71) presented the best quality of the seedling produced, being T3 (5.02) also of superior quality to the other treatments. Finally, it was possible to obtain matured compost, which had a positive effect, showing better in the development of Canafistula in all proportions that contained bovine manure compost compared to treatments at T5 and T6 that did not contain organic compost in their formulation, converting the environmental liability in environmental asset, attenuating the harmful effects to the environment.
