Abstract

The present study analyzes the technical viability of the change in a thermoplastic injection mold in the production of a stove knob, with the replacement of direct injection technology by hot-chamber injection. It presents the main concepts for the definition of the injection process. It validates the use of the same industrial park, so that the study is parameterized. It presents an economic analysis format that can be applied to the company structure to determine the return on investment. Defines all parameters on which technical feasibility will be based. Discusses the increase in productivity and the return on investment applied. It brings as a result a cost-benefit relation regarding the comparative among the applied Technologies, as well, as a productive optimization evaluation in the process.
