Due to the continuous increase in dependence and consumption of electric energy in Brazil and in the world, photovoltaic energy can contribute to a diversification of the Brazilian electricity matrix and avoid the dependence of generation from hydroelectric and thermal plants, guaranteeing greater reliability for the system generation in Brazil. This is due to the fact that Photovoltaic Systems Grid-Connected are alternatives to the urban centers, since they allow the generation of energy in the place where it will be consumed. This work aims to present and analyze the performance of sixteen systems in Curitiba and to compare the available sources of historical data of solar irradiation, being the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) and the Brazilian Atlas of Solar Energy (2006 and 2017). The verification of the performance of the installation is mainly due to some indicators, known as performance parameters, which are: Productivity or Yield, Capacity Factor and Performance Ratio. The study showed that the average Yield in 2017 of the 16 systems was 1207.5 kWp/kWh, the average capacity factor of 13.8% and the average performance ratio of five systems evaluated was 76.7%, so the performance parameters of the systems, obtained from the electric energy generation data, are compatible with the expected. In addition, studies have revealed that fifteen of the sixteen systems use transformerless inverters, because in this way losses in the conversion process are lower and the way of installation of photovoltaic panels is a determining factor to maximize the performance of the photovoltaic system. Another fact that the work presents is the convergence between INMET data and the 2017 Atlas data, showing that this new Atlas improved the reliability of irradiation data in Curitiba.
