Abstract

Transparency through the recording of a police operation is extremely important to society. Besides generating more confidence and security to the people, the video recording becomes an important document that, in future, may be consulted as evidence. Observing this need in the market, the students aim to develop an embedded system through a Beagle Board of external monitoring for police vehicles to capture videos and images of a particular region, thanks to four cameras positioned on the four sides of the car, they will acquire images sequentially, storing this data in an external memory. These images can be manipulated by applications that will be developed, and then viewed by the police in a LCD touch screen, or save the data into an USB stick and watch the video on an external computer.
