Abstract

The aim of this paper is to show what effects of meanings support the sexist imagery in our society through the corpus of analysis. The importance of the debate on patriarchy occurs due to it being an oppressive system to women and only through discussions and questioning it may be disrupted. The collection of the corpus was aiming to demonstrate the different types of sexism found in the analyzed page, which are: man who is sexist, woman who reproduce sexism, and the rupture. The results obtained were satisfactory because it showed the premise proposed by the paper that patriarchal ideology is still massive in our society.
