Resumen
This work has the objective of develop a 12-volt sealed acid lead battery charger with a capacity of 5 Ah, which will charge efficiently, avoiding damages during the process, consequently increasing the battery life.The battery is charged by a switched-mode power supply, consisting of a rectifier in conjunction with a DC-DC converter (Buck), connected to the 127/220 V, with an output voltage of 13.5 V and current maximum of 2 A during the charging process.The charger works in closed loop, the digital control of the system consists of a PIC16F877A microcontroller and voltage and current sensors, which read the signal at the output of the converter.With the practical results obtained with the assembly of the electronic circuits of the project, it was possible to make a graph of the straight line of charge and discharge of the battery, proving that the specifications of the charging method were made and the battery was correctly charged.
