Resumen
This research aimed to presents a study using one tool based on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), as known as SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) created by Shigeo Shingo. He proposes a model for application of this methodology to assist any branch factories to obtain high flexibility by reducing their SETUP times and become able to meet the market demands by smaller lots. Conclude this research emphasizing that with the implementation of these steps of the methodology, it is possible to achieve significant, tangible financial results at the moment which enables minimize losses that impact directly on KPI (Key Process Indicators), such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of a flexographic production line in a package carton company, as defined a unique operation pattern to keep this bookmark maintained in a technological level and easy to perform.
