This study is motivated by the need to control risks in the workplace. As new industrial processes arise, there is an increase in the number of workers exposed to risk agents. Particularly to noise, as it is the most common risk agent in the industry. The main goal of this work is to analyze the efficiency of noise measurements in three different functions of a thermoplastic industry, using two-time references of the working day allowed by technical regulations and standards. The market offers several models of programmable dosimeters that are carried by the measured individual during the workday. The equipment gathers data in different intervals of time during the day, to estimate the worker's total exposure. In order to analyze the efficiency of the agent quantification, the results obtained in the occupational noise exposure assessments were compared, with the measurements being carried out in 75% projected and 100% in the chosen functions. The chosen method to quantify the efficiency was to compare two different sets of normalized data: Occupational noise exposure assessment of 100% and 75% of the journey. This method was them applied to three different workplaces. With the results obtained, it was possible to verify that, for the criteria of tolerance limits and technical judgement of work safety, the results were equal. Therefore, to get a representative result of exposure to noise, measurements can be taken for full work day or for projected 75% of the work day.
