Conservação em jogo: Floresta Ombrófila Mista

Abstract

The Mixed Ombrophilous Forest (FOM) is represented by Araucaria angustifolia Bertol. O. Kuntze (Pinheiro-do-Paraná), among many other diversities of species that make up this environment. Currently, the FOM is one of the most threatened ecosystems in the Atlantic Forest, where its vegetation doesn’t make up more than 7% of its remnants, thus, several species that are part of their fauna and flora, chosen from extinction lists. It’s noteworthy that it was the target of extensive logging, causing extensive environmental degradation and causing the extinction of several fauna’s species. At the same time that this environment is totally fragile, information regarding this is still scarce in informal environments, so that the population sometimes cannot identify which species are more representative, so that lack of knowledge can go against the grain of the expected in this ecosystem’s conservation. In this context, this work aimed to develop a game about the Conservation of Mixed Ombrophilous Forest emphasizing native species of fauna and flora in this ecosystem.
