Resumen
The present work presents the simulation of a frequency converter topology of the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) type. Harmonic distortion concepts and their respective effects are presented, concepts about norms that govern the Quality of Electric Energy and also studies about 6-pulse rectifier which is part of the system of a converter. Then, with the help of the Simulink tool of MATLAB, it was presented the modeling of a threephase frequency converter that was used to drive a 10cv induction motor. After the modeling, there were performed simulations with load variation in the engine divided in three stages: at no load, 50% of the nominal load and at full load. Then the same types of simulation were done only now with the implementation of a reactor in series with the three-phase source. Finally, the results of the Total Harmonic Distortion of each simulation were compared in order to observe the behavior of the electric system in view of the load variation in the motor and the effects of the serial filter insertion.
