Resumen
The objective of this study is to compare the contents of a test of the first phase of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad of Public Schools (OBMEP), conducted by the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), referring to the 6th and 7th grade, pertinent to the years 2015 and 2016, with the contents indicated by the teaching curriculum of Paraná. This comparison will examine whether the OBMEP items are type of exercises or routines of teaching materials. We begin with a history of OBMEP, moving on to a brief discussion of the difference between learning assessment and external evaluation, aiming to ascertain the role evaluation in the school dynamics and the student evaluation process, then we analyze the geometry in the context of the curriculum, and discuss some possibilities of conducting a class with some questions of OBMEP, finally we identify what are the contents and commands that were required in the external test, to solve doubts of understanding when solving problems.
