Resumen
Bleaching is a process whose main objective is to remove the natural yellowish coloration of the fibers. The same can be done by chemical bleaching agents, classified as reducers or oxidants, where each has an important factor that should be considered at the time of bleaching. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the most used agents, and its action results in a bleaching with brightness and easy application. Thus, with the present work we aim to carry out a study on the analysis of the degree of white obtained in cotton tissues targeted with hydrogen peroxide through the variation of the bleaching parameters. From this analysis it will be possible to obtain the bleaching condition that will have the best whiteness in the tissue. In this way, the best dyeing conditions were evaluated by means of 23 factorial design. Thus it was analyzed the variables temperature, hydrogen peroxide concentration and sodium hydroxide concentration, hydrogen peroxide and temperature were the variables that showed the greatest influence on the white degree and for the resistance the variables that showed the greatest influence are the temperature and sodium hydroxide. All variables analyzed were important in the process and in the final results obtained for white degree and the resistance.
