Resumen
This work aims at the application of the stochastic finite element method for the mathematical modeling of a flexible rotor, a method capable of predicting possible system behavior considering uncertainties of the physical and geometric parameters. The purpose is to identify and quantify the level of influence of the parametric uncertainties considered in the design, which are modeled by random variables with normal distribution. For the realization of the research, a workbench with a flexible rotor was constructed. The parameters of the dynamic system were identified using inverse problem techniques. The Monte Carlo simulation combined with the latin hypercube sampling is used as a stochastic solver to evaluate the uncertain dynamic response of the structure. Sensitivity analysis is applied to determine the most preponderant uncertain parameters in response variability. The results demonstrate the significant influence generated by the uncertainties in the dynamic behavior of the system. In addition, the responses generated by the stochastic finite element method proved to be a viable alternative for the analysis and design of uncertain dynamic systems, reinforcing the importance of the proposed study.
