Resumen
The industrial refrigeration is present in several sectors of the production chain, even without industrial food sector, and is used in processes such as freeze-dry or lyophilization. The present work presents an alternative for the increase of the coefficient of performance (COP) presented in the paper by FERREIRA (2016), of the ammonia / ammonia cascade cycle of a Soluble Coffee Company in the city of Cornélio Procópio - Paraná, by replacing the pumps ammonia by open screw compressors as well as comparing it energetically with other industrial refrigeration systems such as the subcritical cascade and the transcriptic in Booster using CO2 as cascade coolant with other refrigerants specified in this work. By replacing the ammonia pumps with the compressors, this idealized cycle presented a reduction in the total exergy rate destroyed by 21.64% and consequently, a significant increase of its COP, but smaller, when compared with the energetic analyzes of the subcritical cycles in cascade and transcritical.
