Resumen
The present work aims at analyzing the socioeconomic dynamics of the consumption of optical products in São Lourenço do Oeste/SC. The study encompasses consumption decisions and identifies the factors that influence the purchase, it also analyzes how advertising and marketing influence the decision-making of these consumers, in addition to investigating which are the main factors that consumers identify in original products, replicas, and pirated products. The research is characterized as a case study with a qualitative and quantitative approach. To obtain the data an online questionnaire was applied, which obtained a total of 59 participants. Through this study, it is possible to notice the different consumer profiles and some of their preferences and characteristics when choosing such products, as well as the difficulty in distinguishing between an original product and a counterfeit product. In addition, it was found that the vast majority of consumers tend to be little influenced by advertisements, being more influenced by the opinion of acquaintances or family members. Finally, these perspectives are presented and the results are discussed.
