Resumen
The general objective of this work was to analyze the impact of Peter Senge's “Five Disciplines” in the net profits of a store network in Paraná and São Paulo. The specific objectives were: to diagnose the existence of the five principles in the universe of the researched companies; to verify and to analyze which branch is more competitive and check if there is a relation between five disciplines existence and the profits of the researched companies. Firstly, this work aimed a summary of Peter Senge's work “The Fifth Discipline - Art and Practice of a Learning Organization”, that it is the main bibliographical reference. Later, other literatures were consulted for better basis and reflection on the theme, and for the validation of the question form. Then, it was done a case study at the store network, with a universe of 118 researched workers, the manager and the responsible for each one of the 59 branches. Due to dealt problem, research was classified as applied qualitative; the methodology was deductive and for data survey was used a question form, tested and adjusted for this aim. Results suggests the existence of a good and open environment for learning practices; It was observed that the managers and responsible ones practice the Peter Senge´s disciplines, although not explicitly. However, considering impacts, from the results it was observed that, for this research, Peter Senge´s disciplines do not influence the competitiveness in a whole. From the results the hypothesis that “The existence of Senge´s five principles in leaders profile has influence on the net profits of the company” was not confirmed for the researched group.
