dc.description.abstractThe worldwide demand for electric energy is huge and increases every year. In view of this, studies and applications for viable improvements that guarantee the quality of the electric energy supplied must be increased, as it is evident the significant increase in the presence of electronic equipment in homes, businesses and industries. In view of the enormous diversity of consumer load profiles, there are non-linear loads that inject harmonic currents into the electricity distribution networks and, consequently, cause disturbances such as the distortion of the waveform of voltages and electrical currents supplied to consumers. Such distortions caused by harmonic currents impact Investments with the purpose of mitigation, therefore, based on this, the main objective of this course conclusion work is to analyze the impact of the allocation of passive harmonic filters in the face of harmonic distortion in a distribution system, electricity having as limits the limits imposed by the National Electric Energy Agency - ANEEL. In this way, the results presented emphasize the importance of sizing and proper allocation of filters, because when installed on different system buses, they presented different scenarios regarding harmonic mitigation, be it from a local point of view and, mainly from a systemic point of view.
